The Many return with seasonal tunes for Advent and Christmas. This nine track collection mixes traditional hymns with restless Advent waiting songs and then some more traditional contemporary worship music. Think Surfan Stevens Christmas Albums meets Vineyard worship and you're fairly close.
The band share that "these songs grew out of our questions, ...questions about how we can possibly live the Advent themes of Hope, Joy, Peace and Love in the midst of a world that feels so broken, so polarized, so wounded by racism and fear and inequality."
The Many is the house band of The Plural Guild, a diverse collective of musicians, writers and other artists creating new music and liturgy for people of faith and doubt who are trying to do justice, love mercy, walk humbly and follow the Jesus who so loves the world. Although a different style to much of our regular Proost material we love this Chicago based band and their commitment to integration, tolerance and mutual respect.
