Experiences contains kits that will help you set up an interactive worship experience/art installation. This is ideal for a special event such as a festival or to set up as a drop in piece of art that cun run for a weekend or week. We have often run experiences like this during Holy Week for example. The Labyrinth has been hugely popular.
This year we have added two experiences that were originally published in kit format in the US with Group Publishing but the rights have now returned to proost so we are making them available as downloads.
Come Home is an interactive worship experience that helps participants recognize and experience God’s presence in the ordinary and extraordinary events of their daily lives. It isn’t a linear service; it’s more of a journey that participants take at their own pace. Four rooms are set up, each expressing a theme from our experience.
In the kitchen, creativity is explored;
the dining room is a place to reflect on the theme of hospitality;
the living room provokes thoughts on community,
and the bedroom provides opportunity for confession.
It could be four spaces in one hall, four rooms in a building or even run actually in someone in your community's house! Come Home Meditations (see audio section of the site) was recorded to go with it.
Creations Stations contains the tools you need to set up an interactive installation/worship experience on the theme of creation. It consists of a station on each day of creation. There is a narrated soundtrack/set of meditations that is not included. This is available in the audio section of proost as Creation Stations Meditations. The idea is that these tracks are put onto mp3 players or CD players for particpants to listen to as they do the experience. An alternative is to print the text of the meditations for people to read. This kit includes a leader's guide, 7 poster files as backdrop for each of the stations, a children's guide, an interactive flash quiz, a movie and instruction cards. This was originally published in a kit format in the US in partnership with Group Publishing under the title Worshipping the Creator but the rights have now returned to proost so we are able to make it available as a download.
