Polaroids [pdf]

Polaroids: snapshots from a life with God is a beautiful mix of poetry and photography. The minute we saw it we loved it. Here's what Peter has to say about it...

these poems were written in a time of pain and confusion. i’m glad that the pain has passed, though i wouldn’t make any claim to not being confused - it seems to be a perpetual state of mind. some might see that as a weakness, i just see it as a natural re- sponse to living in communion with Someone far greater than i can ever comprehend. i’ve grouped the poems under four themes. four themes that i learnt during that time. to not take my and other’s views of God too seriously - God is too big to be put in a box, and humour helps to let go of that seriousness. crying - to tell God the pain and hurt, to lament. asking - to question and live with questions unanswered. sometimes the unanswered questions teach us the most anyway. waiting, because that’s how God seems to work. we wait, and hope, and in this forge faith. but maybe i should just let the poems and photos speak. they have more wisdom than i do.
