September News

September's release is Where the Streams Come From by Chris Goan, a collection of 3 poems/soundscapes. This was originally a project for Greenbelt festival this summer, following on from last year's Silent Pilgrimage (using radio signals to project poetry at specific locations). It was designed to surprise people with poetry. The plan was to use some ultrasonic speakers that work a bit like an audio spotlight. But unfortunately the technology and weather combined so that it didn't work. So we were very happy to make them available via proost as soon as we could.

This is Chris Goan's fourth proost offering. We love his poetry. In fact we love the way poets approach the world and faith! We interviewed Chris recently and that interview is on proost. Here's a quote from Chris

"For me, poetry is a spiritual act. It involves dwelling on something in a deep and even prayerful way. The process of constructing words that carry as much honesty, emotion and truth as I am able to bring to bear is at times painful, but mostly is a precious thing. The poems I like most carve a new path into something. They are full of sinew and not afraid to express the dark things - the doubt as well as the faith, the pain as well as the joy, the lament as well as the celebration."

Enjoy
